Whoever Loves his Life (John 12:25)
Anyone who loves their life…
My life, my past, my present, my future, my family, my friends, my car, my treasure, my things, my job, my knowledge, my experience, my wisdom, my decisions, my will, my country, and my soul.
…will lose it, while anyone hate their life in this world…
Father, in Heaven, may I see the things of this life as trivial in light of your Glory. May I look at your good and perfect will as that which I strive after each and every day. May I seek your face instead of seeking my own will. Let my cry for you be like the cry of a baby for its mother. May my hands be forever pointed upward. Make your desires mine and make your love for others more pleasing to me than anything I would want for myself. Help me to store treasures in Heaven instead of any treasures on earth which moths and rust will destroy.
Lord, help me to die to myself so I can live in you.
Let it be Lord, your life, your past, your present, your future, your family, your friends, your car, your treasure, your things, your job, your knowledge, your experience, your wisdom, your decisions, your will, your country, and your soul.
Thank you, Father, for sending your Son to die for my sins so I can forever praise you! Amen.
…will keep it for eternal life.
